Creative & Fashion Business Workshop

One day workshop focusing on routes to market for fashion/textile/jewellery businesses.
Aimed at sole traders & businesses with fewer than 5 employees who are starting to, or already selling across multi platforms.
Businesses who need support in planning for a sales growth spurt (including stock and finance management) and for those starting out and planning how they use their resources wisely.
Meet your peers working in East Sussex, and learn from one another.
The course will cover:
1. Sales and finance for routes to market • Direct selling online • Direct selling via organized events/ craft fairs/ open studios etc • Pop ups/ home sales • Wholesale as part of a blended sales strategy
Level of investment vs expectation of return • Sales, costing and value chain in a blended marketing strategy that included direct and third party selling • Planning stock and finance towards a major (annual/bi annual etc) selling opportunity • Invoicing policies • International/regional/local opportunities
2. Marketing and communications • Social media as a marketing strategy • Engaging with influencers and social media • SEO to support sales and brand footprint • The website as sales tool – visuals/copy/growing market/ systems for sales and distribution
We hope to make time for some time for one to ones to offer focused advice for your individual needs.
The day will run 10am – 4.30pm plus time at the end for one to ones. There will be a break for lunch but you will need to bring your own lunch or go to the onsite café and restaurant

Mo and Peter both have over 30 years experience in creative enterprise, Peter as a financial advisor specializing in the creative and retail sector, Mo as a designer and product manager in the fashion industry and as a creative entrepreneur.
